Job Summary Kapco Global is looking for an experienced Aviation Industry Sales Representative to join our team. This individual will be based out of our Tamarac FL office near Fort Lauderdale and will travel frequently to support customers primarily for our Electrical Interconnect product lines and OEM customers. The purpose of the position is to foster customer loyalty and sales growth by achieving strategic sales objectives within an assigned territory or customer base through proactively selling and promoting company products and building long-term intimate customer relationships. Requirements for Success Breadth of strategic aerospace industry relationships and extensive industry knowledge such as familiarity with standard commercial and military aircraft parts major industry suppliers and manufacturers within assigned region or customer base quality systems and regulatory issues etc. Experience with electrical interconnect components highly preferred. A proven track record of success in developing and maintaining customer relationships including 5-7 years of related sales and business development experience within the aerospace industry. Bachelor&39;s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business Aerospace or related field. Excellent presentation persuasion and oral written and interpersonal communication skills. Polished professional appearance to provide a positive company image to the public. Computer savvy. Requires proficiency with ERP MRP programs CRM software Microsoft Office products and internet based applications. Puts first things first. Able to effectively prioritize multiple simultaneous projects and proactively manage time in order to meet deadlines and customer demands. Promotes customer focus; monitors customer satisfaction; develops innovative approaches to meeting customer needs. Combines strategic thought with general business acumen to achieve results. Understands business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability; demonstrates knowledge of market and competition; aligns work with strategic goals; understands organization&39;s strengths & weaknesses; analyzes market and competition; identifies external threats and opportunities; adapts strategy to changing conditions. Responsibilities Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options. Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions. Maintains relationships with clients by providing support information and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements. Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends market activities and competitors. Communicates new product and service opportunities special developments information or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff. Provides technical product expertise in the development of contracts bids long term proposals and other sales efforts. Presents and sells company products and services to current and potential clients. Prepares action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made. Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity. Identifies sales prospects and contacts these and other accounts as assigned. Prepares presentations proposals and sales contracts. Develops and maintains sales materials and current product knowledge. Establishes and maintains current client and potential client relationships. Prepares paperwork to activate and maintain contract services. Manages account services through quality checks and other follow-up. Identifies and resolves client concerns. Prepares a variety of status reports including trip reports activity closings follow-up and adherence to goals. Coordinates with company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales. Develops and implements special sales activities to reduce stock. Participates in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows. Performs other duties as required to fulfill Customer Development and Organizational needs. Travel Requirements Frequent Up to 60% . Valid passport and ability to travel as required including overnight for purposes such as customer visits training trade show or conference attendance etc. Travel will be frequent within the assigned region and may include international travel. Driving Requirements Frequent. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record as needed for regular business travel. Physical Requirements Generally this position will require typical physical abilities required of an administrative office role such as sitting for extended periods of time at a computer workstation; using hands and motor skills on a frequent basis for functions such as keyboard data entry input; clear vision to read and interpret documents reports and information on a computer screen etc. Business travel driving responsibilities trade shows and customer visits may require additional physical abilities such as extended walking standing for long periods of time carrying luggage climbing stairs as well as the necessary vision motor skills and other physical abilities required to safely operate a vehicle.
