ApplyJOB TITLE Duty Manager LOCATION Chicago O’Hare International Airport Chicago IL STATUS Full Time off hours and weekend work required The Duty Manager has the overall responsibility for a daily shift and will ensure that all functions are performed in a consistent manner with agreed procedures and protocol TSA regulations and in accordance with client standards. Duties The position may not include all the duties listed nor do the examples cover all the duties which may be performed · Direct oversee and coordinate shift of airport agents of multiple contracts. · Act on behalf of the Operations Manager in his absence with clients and potential clients. · Responsible to assist Operations Manager and General Manager in daily staffing and development of manpower schedules. · Address station attendance and performance deficiencies and administer corrective measures in accordance with Human Resources policies. · The Duty Manager will ensure that all personnel are punctual professional and execute all duties in accordance with their job descriptions for all activities at the airport. Ensure grooming standards are adhered to on a shift. · The Duty Manager will be responsible to ensure cost effective measures including limiting overtime. · Review shift reports analyze and review operational activity. · Perform briefings and ensure they are communicated effectively and efficiently with staff. · Ensure proper coverage for client accounts and monitor post start and end times. · Liaise between airlines and local staff to ensure that all safety security and customer service guidelines are being consistently met. · Responsible for the safeguarding of all company equipment and vehicles. Qualifications · Will be required to work off hours and weekends · Knowledge of effective management supervisory principles and practices · Ability to develop and manage manpower schedules and forecasting · Ability to relate effectively with employees air carrier employees and fellow airport agencies · Ability to express oneself clearly concisely and effectively both orally and in writing · 2 years experience in airport operations airline operations or aviation security · Ability to analyze and evaluate problems to make appropriate recommendations and to take appropriate courses of action · Ability to establish and maintain systems and procedures · Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities · Must at least be willing to obtain a State Security Guard License upon hire if not already in possession of one Please reference Avjobs when applying for this position.
