Overall Purpose Of The Job
The Security Specialist, Information & Analysis, is a key member of the Aviation & Maritime security team, responsible for monitoring, analysing, and delivering aviation security intelligence in a 24/7 operational environment.
This role identifies, prioritises, and escalates aviation security events, producing timely, accurate, and client-ready intelligence through MedAire’s Content Management System.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor global and regional sources for aviation security incidents, emerging risks, and early warning indicators.
- Apply Aviation Alert Reporting Thresholds to determine reportability, alert type, escalation pathway, and operational relevance.
- Draft, publish, update, and maintain aviation security alerts and related content in the MedAire Content Management System.
- Produce clear, concise, and actionable client-facing reports, assessments, advisories, and consultations.
- Maintain standing aviation security content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with the current threat environment.
- Support client queries with timely, accurate, and operationally relevant intelligence.
- Conduct targeted research to support operational planning, readiness, and specific intelligence requirements.
- Collaborate with global aviation, regional security, content, and assistance teams to support client engagement and operational continuity.
- Contribute to follow-the-sun operations on a rostered basis, including during high-tempo or crisis events.
- Support continuous improvement of reporting standards, workflows, and intelligence processes.
CMS and Technology Requirements
- Strong digital capability, including experience working with structured content management or publishing systems.
- Ability to create, edit, preview, publish, update, and archive aviation security content accurately and efficiently.
- Commitment to CMS governance, quality assurance, duplication control, and alert lifecycle management.
- Confidence working with digital publishing tools under time pressure.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of the aviation industry, including airports, aircraft operations, airspace risk, and aviation security threats.
- Proven ability to analyse multiple information sources and translate complex information into clear, actionable intelligence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing client-ready intelligence products.
- High digital literacy and ability to work across multiple information systems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams.
- Cultural awareness and sound judgement in operations, communications, and client interactions.
Required Work Experience
- Experience in security intelligence, aviation security, risk analysis, or a related field.
- Experience working in time-sensitive, operational, or 24/7 environments.
- Experience producing intelligence or advisory outputs for professional or operational audiences.
- Exposure to global or regional security dynamics and the aviation sector is strongly preferred.
- Client-facing or advisory experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in security studies, international relations, aviation, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification or additional training in intelligence, aviation security, or risk analysis is desirable.
