Join AAR to grow your career and make a difference in the aviation industry.SUMMARYThe Alternate Lead Avionics Technician will assist the Lead Avionics Technician for all functions assigned to provide airworthiness of the aircraft upon completion of maintenance at the facility.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Establish work priorities to assist the lead. Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards. Ensure all equipment if properly used and adequate safeguards are in place to protect aircraft and equipment. Assist newer technicians All other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSMust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must possess a current and active FAA "A" or A&P License or hold a Repairman Certificate and FCC Certificate or a Radio Repairman Operator Certificate.CORE COMPETENCIES Dependability: personally responsible completes work in a timely manner and performs tasks accurately. Initiative: plans work and carries out tasks without detailed instructions. Time management: ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and effectively deal with tight deadlines and pressure. Strong judgment and decision making. Problem SolvingEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma/GED. Associates Degree or equivalent or technical school.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.WORK ENVIRONMENT The environmental characteristic for this position is primarily a hangar setting. Candidates should be able to adapt to a warehouse environment.
