Position Title Aircraft Logs and Records Technician

AECOM is immediately hiring a qualified Aircraft Logs and Records Technician in support of U.S Navy
E-2C Aircraft maintenance operations at NAS Norfolk VA. Must Perform aviation maintenance administrative functions in support of the assigned aircraft engines ALSS support equipment and flight designated personnel. Must be able to screen Aircraft Discrepancy Books. Must be able to screen Aircraft Logbooks against the component removal due report for hi-time components. The Aircraft Logs and Records Technician will maintain E-2C aircraft and T56-A-427 engine logbooks and associated records. Must be able to extract data formulate and interpret NALCOMIS reports; create archives backups and data saves in support of military deployments and detachment operations. Perform a wide range of administrative and clerical duties in relation to aircraft maintenance such as preparing reports and correspondence typing and filing performing data base and systems analysis. Review all logbooks for transfer/receipt from PMI and other organizations. Must be able to work rotating shifts and travel for detachments. Must possess a level of experience necessary to inspect all Aircraft/Engine logbooks and make all Aircraft/Engine Logbook entries as required. Must be able to read and interpret the NAMP aircraft technical directives and other publications. Work is performed in a shop environment aircraft hangars flight line and shipboard that are moderately lighted heated and ventilated to extreme weather conditions. May be required to work in areas that are noisy dusty and dirty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts such as heat cold and wind. Required to sit for extended amounts of time. The noise level in the work environment hangars flight line and shipboard flight deck is usually loud or may include unsafe conditions questioning nonstandard operations or environmental factors that may involve unmitigated hazards and providing feedback to supervisors and managers on all safety issues.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Three (3) years O-level experience as a Logs and Records technician on E-2C Aircraft
Must have completed Navy AZ “A” School or equivalent.
Must have a thorough working knowledge of the Naval Aviation Logistic Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS).
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
Must have the ability to pass and maintain a Position of Public Trust and meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned task.
Position may require travel.
Position may require shift work.
Wearing of steel tip boots and personal protective equipment is required.
Candidate must have good communication skills both orally and written.
