Aerospace Quality Research and Development MRO Job Title: Aerospace Liaison Engineer Classification: Exempt Pay: Competitive salary plus excellent benefits Location: Columbus OH (CMH) Shift: First or Second Shift Reports to: Corporate Programs Manager Primary Duties: 25% Travel Required - There may be travel up to 25% to other customer and vendor locations in the USAThis position will also provide administrative technical writing project management and coordination directly with customers which will require occasional support during nights and weekendsThis position is on-site with the customer in Columbus OH. There may be extended training required at Dallas TX officeDesign draft and analyze repairs/alterations for all aircraft structures ensuring that all work complies with respective FAA RegulationsResponsibilities include Fleetwide and Maintenance Reliability projectsPerform Scheduled Event engineering projects develop Event Maintenance task cardsInitiate and participate in Supplemental SRM/IPC repair projects based off common findingsProvide On-Wing Support for difficult repair evaluationsTechnical writing is part of daily job dutiesSupport customers materials group to reduce costs and lead-timesConvert recurring AOG events into fleet wide solutionsCreate fleet wide solutions or scope out solutions and send to include all team resources best fit to create solutionsProactively support customer maintenance efforts to improve aircraft availably while reducing costs Essential Functions and Capabilities: Excellence in business communications manner and appearance on behalf of AQRD-MRO for customer and coworker communicationsBe attentive to the customer needs project timelines and requested approach at all timesAbility to be resourceful and proactive to address work related concernsAbility to attend required business meetings - in person or video call in as coordinatedExceptional teamwork ability and a drive/passion for the aerospace industryAbility to travel for business as neededProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other company technology systemsHandle multiple priorities with good attention to details / accuracyExercise good judgment in determining activities and tasks as needed to properly complete assignmentsPossess strong organizational and time management skillsMust be able to fluently read write speak and understand the English languageAccuracy with data entryPerforms under general supervision and follows direction wellGets along well with others including coworkersProficiency in reading/researching aircraft technical data as required (Practical Exam to be given). Required Education and Experience: Bachelors or Associates Degree from an Accredited Institution in Engineering requiredWork Experience 3+ Years requiredStructural Repair Experience requiredExtensive experience in reading/researching aircraft AMM/IPC/SRM/CMM data requiredA&P License Maintenance Control or other shop experience preferredCorporate Jet Experience preferredExperience working for or directly supporting Part 145 Repair Stations preferredAircraft Interior Design / Refurbishment experience preferredAircraft Cabin Entertainment / Avionics experience preferred Required Physical Abilities: Ability to drive on behalf of the company. (Must possess a valid drivers license and auto insurance.)Ability to sit stand and walk throughout the work day.Ability to work in an airport hangar and/or office cubicle environment.
