Manage aviation safety process and procedures for flight operations providing best in class logistical services to all BP activities in the Gulf of Mexico including BP R&M Pipeline BP Shipping and Gulf Coast Restoration Organization.

Apply standards listed in the OGP-AMG to implement and provide input to processes and procedures utilizing latest technology to ensure required services are safely performed using the continuous improvement approach.
Pilot with FAA Airline Transport Rating:
+ minimum of 1000 flight hours as Gulf of Mexico line pilot
+ knowledge of JAR (Joint Aviation Regulations) operations FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) CAA Civil Aviation Authorities) regulations and ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) annexes
Maintenance Technician with Airframe and Powerplant Rating:
+ experience and track record in safety management
+ and/or a position with compliance responsibilities
Desirable criteria and qualifications:
+ Bachelors degree in Aviation or related discipline
+ High level of computer literacy using Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint)
+ Willingness and ability to relocate or commute to Houma LA on a 9/80 or 4/10 work schedule
+ Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer

Operations staff play a significant role at all stages of the exploration and production cycle - providing input to a project from early appraisal all the way through to full production.

Essential experience and job requirements:
+ Minimum of 5 years commercial aviation operations experience
+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operating managing or maintaining helicopters above 12500 pounds
+ Aviation Experience in Pilot or Mechanic Duties (4-7 years)
+ Experience in Federal Aviation Administration FAR 135 Operations Experience in technical report writing
Other Requirements (eg Travel Location):
Work location is Houma LA; candidate must be willing and able to relocate or commute to Houma LA on a work schedule such as 4/10 or 9/80; expected to be available to support emergencies on days off.
