We are looking for a Program Manager with strong experience in the aerospace industry to organize coordinate and oversee customer programs. You will provide strategic guidance to teams and customers in ways that promote the company s culture. You will oversee the progress of operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. They will be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics. The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver the desirable outcome to our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer deliverables
  • Formulate organize and monitor inter-connected projects
  • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives
  • Coordinate cross-project and cross-functional activities
  • Develop and control deadlines budgets and activities
  • Apply change risk and resource management
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors providing detailed RFQs
  • Assume responsibility for the program s people and vendors
  • Identify resource constraints and project risks
  • Resolve projects higher scope issues
  • Prepare reports for program directors
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in clean and orderly conditions following prescribed safety regulations inside and outside plants
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Maintain continuity between coworkers and/or shifts by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs
  • Document actions
  • Accomplish organizational and group goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Additional duties as assigned

Miscellaneous Requirements

  • Ability to pass a drug test with little or no notice in compliance with the law

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4-year degree in Operations Management or similar preferred (equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered)
  • Certificate in Machine Tool Technology or similar is a plus
  • PMP CAPM PgMP PMI-RMP PMI-SP or PMI Project Management Ready certification is a plus

Experience/Skill Requirements

  • 5-10 years of manufacturing/program/project/production management experience
  • 3+ years of aerospace/defense/space tooling experience
  • Thorough understanding of all Microsoft Office products
  • Proficiency in CATIA Enovia Siemens NX Solidworks or equivalent
  • Thorough understanding of 3D models 2D prints/layouts scheduling and aerospace-related functions
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Thorough understanding of GD&T
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Mathematical skills including but not limited to decimals fractions and conversions
  • Thorough understanding of fabrication CNC machining time management materials tool assembly and inspection
  • Strong reasoning critical thinking organizational time management and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-centric attitude
  • Ability to present to customers and leadership confidently
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to function with minimal supervision

  • Multi-limb coordination: the ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example two arms two legs or one leg and one arm) while sitting standing or lying down
