At Bell we are proud to be an iconic company with superb talent rapidly creating novel and coveted vertical lift experiences.Position description:This Co-Op position will support the Bell Piney Flats Customization department by performing a mix of line crew duties and entry-level avionics work with the opportunity to develop.Responsibilities will include:Work 17-19 hours per weekAssist with avionics repair and system installationAssist with installing avionics kitsAssist with testing and maintaining electrical systemsAssist with installing wires and building wiring harnessesStanding on ladders to wash and detail aircraftFueling and manually moving aircraft to meet schedule and department requirementsAssisting in flight line duties (ex. removing main rotor blades from aircraft)Performing incoming inspections on aircraft and applying protective coveringsPerforming regular inspections on the fuel farmPerforming routine inspections on overhead hoistsMoving loose equipment and aircraft cowlingsCleaning aircraft hangarsMonitoring inside and outside of hangars to prevent clutter in storage areasOther general manual labor and miscellaneous duties as assignedPack and wrap items for overseas shipmentUnderstand safe and applicable use for basic hand toolsLearn and apply knowledge of tasksRead and interpret installation instructionsDemonstrate consistent ability to perform most tasks with limited errors or reworkDemonstrate safe work habits and always wear proper PPEOther tasks as assigned Eligible candidates must be actively enrolled in a degree program related to job duties through an accredited institution.Other general requirements:High school diploma or GEDSome basic hand tool knowledge.
