The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-level Lab Operations Technician to join our team in Kent, WA. This position will support testing in our P-8 system development laboratories. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing attitude, the willingness to learn a complex system, and thrive under pressure. Position Responsibilities:

• Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies

• Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies

• Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities

• Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown

• Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews

• Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems

• Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs

• Coaches and trains others

• Works under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): examples below

• 3+ years of experience working in laboratory test environment

• Experience coordinating maintenance and repairs with test laboratory equipment

• Experience leading and/or managing a team

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

• Associates degree or higher

• Experience following processes, procedures, and specifications

• Experience using Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Experience documenting and clearly communicating test results to customers

• Experience performing laboratory testing to standards (i.e. ASTM, SAE)

• Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule

Typical Education/Experience: 

AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
