Boeing France is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist in Paris, France area.

This assignment is to be located in the southern Paris, France area. While this is a virtual opportunity (the selected candidate will not typically work on-site at a Boeing facility), the position will require frequent travel, including possible extended stays at locations mainly in France and close foreign countries, and as such easy access to transportation network (highways, airports, trains stations).

Position Responsibilities:

Management of a portfolio of suppliers including:

  • Supplier oversight and surveillance.

  • Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) review and acceptance.

  • Supplier development and mentoring.

  • Earlier Quality Involvement (EQI) and Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP)

  • implementation.

  • Continuous improvement.

  • Creating and presenting metrics and performance data.

  • Product inspection and acceptance into the Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Reporting to the on-site Boeing management team, the successful candidate will have a background in quality/inspection, be able to understand and interpret 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings, production paperwork and manufacturing specifications.

  • Experience in the inspection of machined and fabricated parts and assemblies and knowledge of the installation of electrical/electronic line replaceable units (LRU), experience on wire looms and fuel systems would be an advantage.

  • Experience in the review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to the AS9102 standard, be able to articulate non-compliance/conformities to the document owners and progress through to a compliant resolution.

  • Knowledge and experience of the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA)

  • Computer skills will be required to input data into a number of different on and off-line systems and applications including Microsoft Office.

  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Type Certificate process would also be an advantage although training will be provided for successful candidates to carry out conformity inspections and test set-up as part of the FAA type approval process.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
