The Boeing Company is seeking a Hybrid Entry Level Missile and Weapons System Safety Engineer to join their team in St. Charles, MO. This unique role requires an understanding of Safety engineering processes and the ability to communicate well.

Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in evaluating customer/operational needs and requirements specifications to develop safety requirements, constraints, and operating limits
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and supporting System Safety Program Plans (SSPP), as required
- Assist in performing/supporting a variety of hazard analyses across the full product life cycle, to include Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA), System Hazard Analysis (SHA), Operating and Support Hazard Analysis (O & SHA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), and Software Safety Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis
- Assist in reviewing engineering design specifications, test and manufacturing operations, change proposals, deficiency reports, and deviation/waiver requests for potential safety impacts
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause/corrective action analyses
- Interface with customer and program subject matter experts
- Assist in preparing presentations, analyses, and reports for government/customer safety boards, program design reviews, and test/mission readiness reviews
- Assist in developing proposals, work statements, and specifications affecting system safety engineering scope and budget
- Assist in delivering oral and written system safety and risk presentations to peers, program management, senior leadership, customer, and regulatory agencies
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate well and work within a team environment with a focus on first time quality
- Familiar with Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

his position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.§120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):):
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
- Familiar with product safety.
- Ability to work Hybrid
- Export Control compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Previous internship experience
- Experience working in a fast passed environment
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
