The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Contract Management Specialist to join the team in Kent, WA.
This position is a key member of the Contracts Team responsible for leading various contracting actions to include tasks such as developing and negotiating complex timely and quality proposals leading to the contract administration/execution of these transactions. This role requires a keen sense of urgency while maintaining a mindset that promotes leadership, safety, first time quality, working to emphasize speed and agility, honesty and candor.
Exercises appropriate signature authority, leads, and participates in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies
Leads the presentation and development of complex business solutions to preserve and expand the business
Represents the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customers
Authority to prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret and administer legally binding contractual agreements of a complex nature for The Boeing Company
Leads coordination and partnership with other internal functional disciplines
Summarizes complex contractual issues, and leads development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years or have been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required
3+ years of experience leading or contributing to proposals or engineering change proposals for government contracts or prime sub-contracts
3+ years of experience working with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or other commercial contracting terms and conditions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience coaching and mentoring less experienced employees
Experience performing with a significant amount of autonomy and exercise good judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
Experience advising all levels of management on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving
Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
