BDA is now recruiting for the position of Environment Health and Safety Specialist based in Williamtown, at locations both on and off the Williamtown RAAF Base. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your hazardous chemical / occupational hygiene skills, as well and your broad EHS generalist and people engagement skills.

As the EHS Specialist, reporting to the EHS Operations Manager, you will be accountable for assisting to maintain the aircraft related hazardous chemicals register, supporting BDAs EHS Management System and delivering EHS guidance and support to a range of stakeholders.

BDA requires all applicants to be able to demonstrate the following essential qualifications:

  • Formal qualifications in Work Health and Safety, occupational hygiene or science;
  • A sound understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation;
  • A sound understanding of risk management;
  • Three years of experience in a similar role, ideally having experience with hazardous chemical registers;
  • Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements and be able to obtain security clearances as a key requirement of the role.
