Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS & B) Business Development & Strategy Team is looking for an outstanding Business Development & Strategy Lead (Level 4) to support the Anti-submarine Warfare (ASW) market strategy-to-action process and team within the Global Control Pillar. This position will be located in Tukwila, WA.
Role’s objectives include maximizing P-8 Poseidon platform sales, proactively defining and shaping capability growth and corresponding platform requirements, executing investment allocation in support, and driving to campaign wins with both domestic U.S. Navy and international military customers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Experience as a capture team or sales lead
  • Experience working in a program management / project management role
  • 5+ years of experience working within or with Military or DoD customers
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • 3+ years of experience engaging in senior level communication including presentation development and report outs


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Current Secret or Top-Secret clearance
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate
  • 5 or more years of experience crafting capture plans / major sales campaigns
  • 10 or more years of experience working with Department of Defense and international equivalents, budget and/or acquisition process
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracts
  • Knowledge / experience working with U.S. Navy Maritime Patrol (P-3 / P-8) community
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies
  • Ability to develop operational / marketing plans, define and manage program funds, and white papers for customer engagement
  • Understanding of global industry-related market trends as well as customer opportunities
  • Identify and align win strategies to the customer’s most important requirements,
    differentiate our offer in the market and drive Long Range Business Plans (LRBP)
  • History of cultivating partnerships / strategic collaborations or innovative business models

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years related work experience, Master+12 years related work experience, 18 years related work experience, etc.).
