The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Supplier Quality Specialist to join the Quality Team located in Long Beach, CA or San Jose or Sacremento, CA area
- Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products.
- Documents and reports audit and assessment results.
- Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.
- Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
- Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
- Resolves routine issues and concerns.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, or Supplier Quality Specialist
- 3+ years of experience working in a quality job role
- 3+ years of experience gathering data and performing Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA)
- 3+ years performing First Article Inspections (FAI)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higherE
- xperience working with and supporting Quality Management System (QMS)
- Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Experience developing root cause corrective actions
- Experience working directly with suppliers or supplier managemen
Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
This position may require up to 75% travel.

Summary pay range: USD 94,350 – 127,650
