Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 5) to join our Business Operations team based in Portland, OR.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Senior Level Project Management Specialists.

This position would manage multiple projects associated with work movement and other types of projects .An ideal candidate has an understanding of manufacturing process, experience with applying project management theory and concept, excellent communication at all levels of the organization, and ability to collaborate across various functions, and Boeing locations to achieve project / organizational objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads others and advises all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge, ANSI, and ISO standards).

  • Oversight, and management responsibility (including performance management & reporting) for a portfolio of small to medium size projects in support of organizational the goals and objectives.

  • Identifies key partner project specific objectives and requirements.

  • Ensures assigned individuals are completing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.

  • Provides in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.

  • Provides assessment of team performance to appropriate management.

  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require resourcefulness and innovation.

  • Provides in depth analysis; identify lessons learned, provide historical reports to incorporate into future project plans.

  • Provides input of team member performance to management, where appropriate.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Portland, OR.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 7+ years of experience in Project Management

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment

  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelors degree and Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)

  • 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing process improvements

  • 5+ years of experience with work movement process

  • 5+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelors degree and typically 15 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 13 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
