Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Analyst (Level 2, 3, or 4) for multiple opportunities across the Puget Sound area. The candidate may be selected to work at one of the following locations: Everett, Seattle, Auburn, or Renton, Washington.

The Stability and Performance teams play a critical role in leading the production system improvement activities for their programs. The team will use data to provide business insights, drive stability and ultimately achieve champion performance on their programs. Team members will analyze production and/or delivery system performance, including conducting Champion Recipe job observations, to identify chronic disruptions and initiate/implement improvements.

These teams work cross-functionally with operations and support organizations to tackle problems ranging from factory floor and/or flight line process improvements to engineering design changes across the value stream. An understanding of airplane manufacturing, Lean principles and the production system standards are essential for this role.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles, processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers.
  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and performance criteria.
  • Analyzes and interprets data to prioritize problem statements and measure effectiveness of actions implemented through improvement projects (results).
  • Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk.
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives.
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans.
  • Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, Seattle, Auburn or Renton, Washington.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience in the aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing industry.
  • 1+ years’ experience with Lean principles and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience in the aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing industry.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Lean principles and continuous improvement.
  • 1+ years’ experience with the Boeing Production System.

Typical Education/Experience: 

Associate (Level 2):
Bachelors and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experienced (Level 3):
Bachelors and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Senior (Level 4):
Bachelors degree and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
