Description, duties, responsibilities
The Communications Specialist (CS) will work in the Classic Air Medical Flight Center located in North Salt Lake, Utah on a 7 on / 7 off schedule, working 12-hour shifts.
Examples of job duties and responsibilities:
• CS will complete a Risk Assessment at the beginning and end of each shift. • Responsible for answering all phone calls into the Flight Center and handling emergency and non-emergency calls professionally and in a timely manner. • Utilize a CAD system (Flight Vector) to input all flight requests. • Utilize Google Drive, Microsoft Office, and other platforms to input critical day-today data. • Be able to multitask in a high stress environment. • Attend quarterly mandatory meetings. • Participate in the post flight debrief process. • Work well with customers and team members. • Work well with little direction on your own or with a partner in close quarters. • Communicate effectively. • Become IAMTCS certified within 2 years of employment. • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner. • Be able to work holidays and weekends. • Be able to work with little direction using the training and skills acquired from on the job training to complete all job duties, tasks, functions, and responsibilities. • Complete assigned work to exactness, giving priority to attention to detail. • Be open and receptive to new processes, changes, etc. • Any additional assigned duties, tasks, responsibilities, etc.
• Prior 911 or air medical dispatching experience required. • Memorized keyboard with ability to type at least 50 words per minutes required. • 2-year degree (preferred). • Medical terminology (preferred). • Aviation experience (preferred).
Working for Classic Air Medical:
This is a full time benefited position based in North Salt Lake, Utah. • PTO after 9 months. • Working in a brand-new facility with state of the art technology. • Being part of a growing team that is making a difference. • Starting pay, $16.00 per hour and up depending on experience
