Location US-New York-Orchard Park Date Posted 31 Mar 2021 Cobham is seeking aCalibration Technician at our Orchard Park NY location Key Responsibilities: Calibrate (and perform routine maintenance on) inspection measuring and test equipment to verify accuracy and performance acceptability using documented calibration procedures manufacturers technical manuals and drawings/prints. Revise and write calibration procedures. Maintain calibration standards. Meet customer expectations by completing calibrations by the documented due date. Prepare calibration reports. Identify out-of-tolerance conditions Approve and monitor calibration extensions. Maintain records of calibration. Update calibration database. Review calibration certificates to verify that calibration requirements were met. Keep calibration lab in a clean and orderly condition. Actively participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities. Assist with cross training of calibration technicians. Comply with work policies and safety issues related to programs or equipment usage. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing assembly environment. One (1) year minimum experience using inspection measuring and test equipment (Weed Out) General understanding of gauge calibration (Using) Machinist part of the pool - Assembling parts - Pressure - Flow Torque Temp time weight Working knowledge of Outlook Word and Excel. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This position requires access to technology materials software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US therefore you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident. Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree in a technical discipline Three (3) years plus experience in a manufacturing assembly environment. One (1) year of experience calibrating inspection measuring and test equipment such as flow pressure mechanical or electrical devices as well as high pressure pneumatics. Ability to communicate effectively with technicians supervisors and managers. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Attention to detail. Ability to readily adapt to changes in calibration priorities.
