Responsibilities may include: Performance of nondestructive evaluations on aerospace and US Gov hardware in support of various Collins Aerospace projects. Contributions to NDE technology advancements including research equipment procurement and inter/intra-business collaboration. Work as part of Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) teams and failure analysis teams. Interfaces with multiple other disciplines including Operations/Manufacturing Engineering and Projects. Basic Qualifications Must be a US Person Bachelors degree and 7 years of relevant experienceOR Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree 11 years of relevant experience is required Certification to Level 3 Film RT by NAS 410 standards with a minimum of 5 of years of experience Potential for near-term Digital RT certification to Level 3 by NAS 410 standards with a minimum of 2 of years of experience ASNT TC 1A Level III in Radiographic Comprehensive understanding of industry codes and standards related to aerospace manufacturing and production e.g. AWS D1.1 ASME ASTM ASNT. Ability to work well both independently and within an integrated product development (IPD) team environment Background in Welding and Weld Inspection. The ability to instruct test and assess performance related to NDE personnel qualification/re-qualification. Ability to assess risk related to NDE processes. Excellent attention to detail Excellent writing and math skills Basic computer skills Outlook Word Excel Power Point etc. This role is for a hands-on person with great attention to detail and excellent people skills. Preferred Qualifications Certification to Level 3 FILM and DIGITAL RT by NAS 410 standards with a minimum of 10 of years of experience Certification to Level 2 ultrasonic and dye penetrant by NAS 410 standards with a minimum of 5 years of experience Experience with development and qualification of nondestructive testing (NDT) techniques and procedures in support of manufacturing process development engineering evaluations failure analyses testing and manufacturing of aerospace and US Gov hardware components Experience training personnel for NDE skills development and NDE certifications of staff Interpretation of industrial and customer NDT requirements and documentation of implementation/compliance in Collins Aerospace procedures techniques and work instructions Consultation on projects to support development of Basis of Estimates (BOE) project proposals related to NDE functions. Knowledge/skills to perform and/or participate in Root Cause Analysis Ability to represent Collins in NDE discussions with customers and in NDE portions of corporate audits Aptitude to provide direction and instruction to Level 1/Level 2 personnel Able to take initiative to complete stand-alone work and work as part of a team. Demonstrated experience supporting new hardware development and new program NDE development operations An undergraduate degree in science technology engineering or mathematics from an accredited institution is preferred. A graduate degree in the aforementioned disciplines is highly preferred but not required.Salary Range: $100K -- $150K Minimum QualificationIndustrial Engineering.
