Job DutiesTroubleshoots to determine malfunctions on aircraft avionics components and electrical systems components, such as airborne navigation/communication systems, weather radar, autopilot, compass systems and accessories component level.

·Repairs, overhauls and modifies aircraft communication components, navigation components, autopilot and other electrical systems components and accessories to MFG specifications.

·Completes all checklists, forms and reports as required in accordance with the company, government and FAA regulations and guidelines.

·Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies, using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, or voltmeters.

·Troubleshoot equipment or systems operation problems.

·Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies, using hand tools or soldering irons.

·Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.

·Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, or soldering irons.

·Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems.

·Assemble components such as switches, electrical controls, and junction boxes, using hand tools or soldering irons.

·Connect components to assemblies such as radio systems, instruments, magnetos, inverters, and in-flight refueling systems, using hand tools and soldering irons.

·Lay out installation of aircraft assemblies and systems, following documentation such as blueprints, manuals, and wiring diagrams.

·Interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.

·Coordinate work with that of engineers, technicians, and other aircraft maintenance personnel.

·Responsible to his / her immediate supervisor for the accomplishment of all work assigned to Will perform all work assigned to him in accordance with approved Company maintenance procedures, for recording the work performed, and for assuming responsibility for that work as indicated by his signature.

·Will perform all work assigned to him / her in a safe manner and will report immediately to his/her supervisor any unsafe conditions discovered.

·REQUIREMENTS:

·Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.

·He / She must hold the appropriate licenses.

·Maintains adequate knowledge to understand and follow the repair facility’s inspection procedures manual.

·Assists co-workers and those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when necessary.

  • Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)

  • Frequent exposure to loud noises produced from engines, APU’s etc
  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    ·Must have a Must have a valid FAA A&P License

    ·Experienced in one or more of the following system disciplines:

    oAvionics to include system diagnostic troubleshooting, wiring checks, pitot-static fault isolation, auto-flight systems, etc.

    oAircraft Hydraulic systems

    oAircraft ECS systems
