GA Telesis is seeking a high energy self-motivated commercial aviation leasing professional with strong experience in the engine and aircraft leasing market to join our aviation transaction team. Reporting to the Senior VP Head of Trading the Director of Business Development for North America will be responsible for originating aircraft and engine acquisition opportunities subject to existing lease or off lease for future return to service strategies or part out. Group identifies and pursues creative outlets via maintenance re-investment leasing exchange and sales transactions of aviation assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Origination of engine and aircraft acquisition opportunities
  • Marketing and relationship management with airlines lessors and MRO s
  • Investment evaluation in collaboration with the ATG analytics and technical teams
  • Developing lease placement opportunities with airlines and MRO s
  • Developing sale outlets with lessors MRO s and operators
  • Collaboration and contribution to underwriting investment opportunities with management team outside investors and shareholders
  • Transaction negotiation with counterparties
  • Transaction management across GA Telesis support teams (finance legal technical etc.)
  • Supporting cross selling initiatives across the GA Telesis Ecosystem


Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant industry and transactional experience
  • Proficient familiarity with all major commercial aircraft and engine types
  • Eagerness to participate in a high volume of consistent travel (+/- 50%)
  • Relevant financial and technical acumen to evaluate acquisition opportunities
  • Knowledge of market values for engines and aircraft


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of relevant industry and transactional experience
  • General technical expertise with all major commercial aircraft and engine types
  • Proven track record in the whole aircraft and/or engine leasing/trading market
  • Strong network of airline MRO lessor and OEM contacts
