Description, duties, responsibilities
BOMBARDIER - WICHITA, KS
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering, Tool Design, and Methods documents
- Ability to set up and operate various shop machines, for example, mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and power hand tools
- Working knowledge of machinery, equipment, and raw materials required for jig and fixture construction
- Basic knowledge of safety requirements for jig and fixture construction
- Basic knowledge of jig and fixture construction
- Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals and departments
- Ability to perform master cycles for basic to moderately complex jigs and fixtures
- Basic knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, and algebra
- Typically 3 years of conventional machining, sheet metal, fabrication, or related experience, which must include 2 years of experience in jig building
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering documents
- Ability to use and interpret optical and precision measurement equipment and instruments
- Basic knowledge of various shop machines, for example, mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and power hand tools
- Mechanical skills
