Director of Flight and Data Acquisition (Finance)GPI Geospatial is seeking a senior manager who will be responsible for the total oversight of the flight acquisition department. As the responsible person in charge you will oversee a fleet of four aircraft and multiple aerial LiDAR and Imagery sensors the UAV program Pilots and Sensor Operators. For more information visit: www.gpinet.comResponsibilities:Implement and maintain the Argus Prism Safety Management SystemDevelop a fee structure for data acquisitionFlight operations and data acquisition business development and marketingDeveloping and maintaining budgets and schedules for the flight departmentOversee pilots and sensor operators training programs technical strategies and continuous improvement of operations focusing on safety procedures quality control pricing and solutions to improve performance and maximize efficiencyOversees aircraft maintenance/airworthiness from both mechanical and documentation aspects including purchasing and modifications of aircraft and aerial sensorsDeveloping flight operations emergency preparedness and response plansCoordinate with Geospatial project managers on data quality and acquisition schedulingWork closely with Mapping Resource Manager Remote Sensing Operations Director Corporate Safety OfficerCoordinate with clients on acquisition schedules data quality control local airports FBOs and restricted airspace personnelResponsible for workflows technical strategies locating and staffing forward base of operationsQualifications:A minimum of 10-years experience managing flight operations and crews for a geospatial company or related disciplineCapable of obtaining permits and overseeing compliance with DC ADIZ and FRZKnowledge of FAA regulations and ensures the flight department is compliantFamiliarity with developing alternative data acquisition solutionsAbility to work closely with sensor manufacturers and software developersExperience maintaining proficiency and knowledge in control networks and datums
