Scope of Work:
Works under supervision of senior engineers supervision receives on-the-job training in areas such as ESD sensitive areas cleanroom facilities and all other cleanroom-type environments that exist.
Will provide contamination control support and resolution of technical issues involving contamination control for manufacturing integration test and launch of spacecraft. This support includes review of contamination control plans cleaning procedures and I&T documentation; performance of cleanliness inspections and surface analysis of spacecraft hardware and witness of various production activities to verify that contamination control requirements are met. May also perform other duties associated within area of assignment as directed by Lead Personnel or management. Ensure cleanliness of ESD laboratories cleanrooms flight hardware and non-flight hardware by procedural compliance.
Report facility-related problems to management and directly to project customer as they occur accompanied by suggestive corrective action.
May also perform temporary duties in other areas or other duties associated with area of assignment.
Education or years experience commensurate with skill level required for complexity as determined by management.
Must have at least a Bachelors degree in Engineering Materials Science Chemistry Physics or related field of study. Direct CC experience highly desired but not a requirement for Eng. I.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from Leads engineering or management.
Must become familiar with NASA CC related ISO Work Instructions and cleaning methodology.
Must become familiar with IEST 14644 series documents.
Must become familiar with IEST-STD-CC1246D document.
Must have background with interpreting data/spectra.
Must be familiar with chemical laboratory basic operational procedures and safety requirements.
Ability to use own judgment and decisions to allow continuity of work flow.
Must be self-motivated and a Team Player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to organize time assignments and properly prioritize effort for maximum effectiveness.
Must be capable of passing required physical examinations and successfully completing assigned training or other required training or certifications as directed by ETIS II management.
