We seek a motivated Aviation Design Engineer to join our growing Aviation team in our Warrenville IL office to support and manage a variety of aviation projects both airside and landside. As an Aviation Civil Engineer you will support the planning design and construction of airport projects; prepare analyses and reports for on-going projects; prepare plans and specifications; mentor and coordinate the work of analysts and other technical staff and manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance.RequirementsMinimum of 4 years of aviation design experience preferably airsideMust be a professionally registered engineerFamiliarity with contract document preparation and cost estimatingFamiliarity with FAA Advisory Circulars and Engineering BriefsFamiliarity with pavement design and FAARField Design SoftwareExperience with construction phase services and construction phasing and sequencingStrong AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation experienceExperience with modeling of aircraft and vehicle turning movement simulations in AeroTURN AutoTURN Path Planner and/or AviPLANAbility to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staffExcellent verbal written and interpersonal skillsStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about discussed or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
