We are currently seeking a Sales Lead /Account Manager will be responsible for business development and sales growth for L3Harris worldwide Avionics products and services in the Military and DoD (domestic and foreign) Aerospace market for Commercial Aviation Solutions Sector.
Sales Lead /Account Manager must have ability to manage and build relationships through OEMs Operators and US DoD channels and Contracting Organizations both domestic and foreign (DLAs PCOs).
Sales Lead /Account Manager will be expected to be self-sufficient and work under limited guidance to exercise strategic and independent judgment and self-direction in managing priorities and coordinate and fulfil competing goals tasks projects and customers simultaneously.
Sales Lead /Account Manager will need to work within matrix organizations with local divisions (Phoenix and Grand Rapids) cross-functional teams providing leadership in the military market including account management pricing recommendations and tactical activities.
Promotion of Avionics products and services.
Coordination of Government Solicitations Requests for Quote (RFQ) Requests for Information (RFI) Requests for Sources Sought (RSS) FAR requirements and preparing responses to RFPs.
Review and downloading of Government solicitation websites (FedBizOps etc).
ITAR and TINA familiarity as well as DFARs and FAR requirements.
FAR 2.101 Commercial Item familiarity.
Source-Approval-Request (SAR) familiarity.
Managing cross-functional/cross-company stakeholders in bid preparation building business cases and financial approval.
Assist in negotiating purchase agreements BOAs and forecasting of sales/orders.
Other duties and responsibilities as requested by responsible manager.
Assist in developing sales KPIs and metrics for selected market.
Business prospecting and opportunity tracking.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Physical Sciences Engineering or must possess equivalent industry experience.
Ability to travel both domestic and international travel up to 60%
6 10 years related experience in Avionics sales and services including customer facing experience.
6 10 years related experience in Military sales and services including customer facing experience.
Must have experience with selling commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products and development programs within military segments and commands
Prior military contracting experience preferred
Prior military service preferred
Ability to work manage and coordinate sales efforts in a matrixed organization
Ability to effectively manage all stages of the sales cycle (forecasting matching solutions and value propositions developing solicitations requests for information source-approval-requests bids and proposals building customer rapport negotiating and ability to close the deal)
Strong computer skills in MS Word Excel Dynamics PowerPoint and Outlook are required
Exceptional organizational/project management skills with military and OEM organizations.
Experience with or aptitude for analyzing business processes and developing and implementing solutions
Strong ability to educate and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues at multiple locations regarding government acquisition
Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal must be very articulate
Must be a high energy resourceful and a creative thinker
Candidate must be able to manage priorities and have the ability to coordinate competing tasks projects and customers simultaneously and successfully.
