Description: The coolest jobs on this planet... or any other... are with Lockheed Martin Space.This is a key developmental opportunity (approx 18 months in duration) to perform as a Technical Assistant to the Vice President of the Space Centers of Excellence that will build breadth in the areas of technical expertise analysis project management and communication.Technical Assistant to the VP is responsible for but not limited to the following:- Extensive collaboration with COE senior leadership team to maintain and implement executive business rhythms such as monthly reviews Internal Operating Reviews (IOR) team offsites etc..- Actively participate in strategic planning and related initiatives led by the VP and the leadership team.- Create and maintain multi-media based briefings to be presented to LM executives employees and various levels of customers or external organizations. Creation includes understanding and analyzing technical and business-based content.- Participating in meetings as directed by the VP tracking action items establishing deadlines for follow up and ensuring closure.- Coordinating planning organization and completion of projects within area of assigned responsibility.- Collaborate and engage with E&T LOB and MFO Technical Assistants in support of briefings action items reports projects and special assignments.Domestic travel is required on occasion and may be on short notice.Typically has 9 - 14 years of experienceAt the dawn of a new space age Lockheed Martin is a pioneer partner innovator and builder.
