          Job ID: 545799BR Date posted: Dec. 08 2020 City: Stratford State: Connecticut Program: TUHP Description:Lockheed Martin Mission Systems Engineering (MSE) is looking for qualified applicants for the Mission System (MS) Flight Test lead position for the Turkey Utility Helicopter Program position located at in Ankara Turkey.

          The candidate will be responsible for facilitating and ensuring professional development of the team by providing employee feedback and mentoring and support of the flight test program. Seeking an Avionics Engineer with a demonstrated ability to integrate and qualify Avionics systems for the world s leader in vertical flight solutions. You will work with a talented team of engineers and analysts to develop technical system requirements oversee subsystem design and development perform system integration as well as conduct flight test efforts on helicopter programs. This position requires relocation to an overseas location.

          Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
          Support the full lifecycle of systems development for avionics products including concept design system architecture definition and management of requirements modeling and simulation managing suppliers managing cost and schedule System Integration Laboratory (SIL) integration aircraft integration verification and flight testing.
          Define develop and document specifications and qualify integrated system solutions for aircraft.
          Participate in technical reviews of military and/or commercial avionics systems.
          Work with customers partner companies suppliers and Sikorsky technical leaders.
          Provide technical support for avionics system safety and certification processes.
          Lead activities such as failure Investigations root cause analysis and corrective action. Develop lessons learned issue resolutions and design standards.
          Provide engineering support within your specialty to teams working on performance cost reduction and quality initiatives.
          Test effort includes generation and execution of system level test plans and reports at a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level.
          Previous experience includes planning and execution of all aspects of a System Integration Lab build and fabrication. Experience in the testing of newly developed systems software and hardware. Familiar with 1553 and ARINC 429 simulation and the ability to use tools to trouble shoot.
          Generation and execution of flight test plans and reports. Coordinate all activates with a joint flight test team to obtain a Certificate of Compliance (COC).
          Working seamlessly with counterpart engineering and business organizations
          Basic Qualifications:
          10 years of Working knowledge of avionic system subsystem ground and flight test efforts and associated best practices
          10 years technical experience in requirements definition architecture integration verification and qualification
          Earn Value Management experience
          Familiarity with Military and/or FAA certification standards
          Knowledge of Mil Standards Digital Busses architecture (Ethernet ARINC-429 MIL-STD- 1553)
          Candidate must have excellent communications skills with all stake holders including PMO up level management chief engineering as well as cross functional peer managers
          Desired Skills:
          Avionic system subsystem ground and flight test verification and validation experience.
