The Launch Vehicles Aircraft Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading the aircraft maintenance staff for the Pegasus L1011 program. This position will supervise the maintenance and servicing of the Pegasus carrier aircraft against the master schedule. Key Responsibilities include: Lead and supervise the aircraft maintenance staff Oversee the servicing repair modification and overall aircraft maintenance program requirements ensure compliance to all FAA maintenance regulations Schedule repairs and maintenance and investigates costs of outsourcing repairs Ensures the maintenance team complies with environmental and safety regulations Collaborate with and support the Pegasus engineering team on aircraft modifications Monitor inventory to ensure spares availability Oversee calibrated equipment safety equipment GSE shelf life material and the storage and disposal of hazardous waste Ensure the scheduled maintenance program is maintained and that the BART system is kept current and used to forecast maintenance and material requirements Perform basic and complex maintenance tasks Support employee development and ensure proficiency and training requirements are maintained Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor degree and 7 years related experience or an additional 4 years related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement Five (5) years or more experience in an aircraft maintenance environment Two (2) years aircraft maintenance supervision experience Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance Experience determining efficient methods to repair or modify aircraft systems based on interpreting maintenance manuals and airworthiness directives Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Strong verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: FAA I/A certification large aircraft maintenance experience
