As a result our business has seen consistent growth and best of all our team members share in Parker s success.Commodity ManagerMechanical Products and Machined PartsLocation: Irvine CA SUMMARYControl Systems Division (CSD) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Products Commodity Manager to develop and implement sourcing strategies tools and processes leading to improved total acquisition cost supplier delivery and quality as well as supplier rationalization.RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for leading and managing a segment of the Division s Mechanical Products Spend of $190+ Million Dollars. Segment responsibility may include general and complex machining castings/forgings outside processing and hardware/kitting. Responsible for establishing Division-level sourcing strategies segmenting into part families and leveraging spend right sizing the supply base executing Long Term Agreements aimed at improving cost delivery quality performance and profitability for the division across three manufacturing sites and various Commercial and Military Customers. Lead a multi-site cross-functional team developing and implementing projects geared towards Supplier performance improvement continuity of supply and overall supplier cost reductions associated with the Divisions Source Controlled Component spend. Support the Division s Global Sourcing efforts in India China Mexico and other low-cost regions. Support Supplier Development activities through championing execution of work transfers both domestically and internationally. Support and align with Aerospace Group led initiatives in leveraged strategies negotiations and Supplier consolidation process improvement opportunities. Some travel both domestic and international may be required (up to 20%) QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor s degree in business supply chain management operations or other related field required and eight or more years of progressive experience. An Engineering degree is a plus. Must be familiar with and have working knowledge of the complete range of strategic sourcing activities including spend analysis strategy formulation contract negotiations low cost country sourcing strategic supplier relationship management supplier quality and supplier development. Commodity/Category Management Major Subcontract Management Procurement and Negotiations (Price and Terms and Conditions) experience with a proven track record of quality cost delivery improvements within area of responsibility.
