Just look up.Engineering Development Operations - Test is looking for a 1st shift Cell Leader to support military and commercial engine and component testing at its West Palm Beach test site. As a member of the Florida Test Team this individual will lead by setting operational strategies training plans performance feedback offsite support staff scheduling project implementation continuous improvement and communication with leadership and employees. Key metrics are EHS performance schedule achievement cost reduction workforce development and preventative maintenance planning. Excellent organization prioritization and communication skills are essential. The individual must embrace ACE Operating System and lean manufacturing vision and thrive in a team environment with high performance expectations. This role is responsible for supervising a group of hourly bargaining unit employees in an engine test operations environment.Responsibilities include:+ Allocating work and assigning manpower to appropriate test activities+ Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building using daily team meetings+ Provide effective communications and develop an efficient team that is responsive to test requirements and change+ Establish work schedules considering customer requirements resource availability and Test Operations priorities+ Work proactively to address labor relations quality and EH&S issues while engaging the hourly workforce to drive future solutions+ Engage hourly bargaining unit in order to achieve cell goals+ Hold employees accountable while maintaining a key working relationship+ Ensure world class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly+ Ensure full involvement in ACE continuous improvement initiatives - utilize ACE tools (6S RRCA/DIVE) to improve productivity and performance+ Control quality productivity and process flow to meet customer requirements while ensuring a high level of satisfaction+ Demonstrated use of lean manufacturing tools such as six sigmaBasic Qualifications+ University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.+ In lieu of a university or advanced degree 9 years prior relevant experience can also be accepted.+ Relevant experience is defined as any of the following: supervisory experience labor relations and aerospace or manufacturing industry work.+ Due to government contract U.S. Citizenship is required.
