S3 Inc. is a woman owned small business founded in 1991 headquartered in Huntsville AL that provides technical programmatic and logistics services to US Department of Defense other US Government Agencies and Partner Nation militaries co-located with Government requirements. S3 has a wholly owned subsidiary KBFS that provides aviation pilot training heavy lift aircraft maintenance and related aircraft services to Government and commercial requirements IAW multiple FAA certifications.S3 Inc. is seeking an Airplane Chief Flight Instructor to support operations in Temple TX.Position Description: The Airplane CFI conducts primary and advanced airplane flight and ground training to prepare student and rated student pilots to successfully complete certification for Private Pilot Commercial Pilot and Instrument Rating. Training will be conducted in accordance with the Kachemak Bay Flight Service (KBFS) training curriculum and to the standards outlined in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airman Certification Standards. The CFI must be proficient or capable of gaining and maintaining instructor proficiency in various flight training aircraft operated by KBFS and able to develop and execute tailored flight and classroom training sessions in accordance with the standards outlined in the FAA Flight Instructor Handbook and will make recommendations for students to conduct solo flight cross-country flight and to receive certification practical tests. Will also be responsible for maintaining KBFS training folders and completing required training entries IAW the FAA and school requirements.Experience/Skills Required: Must have a minimum of 250 hours of single engine airplane flight time of which 50 must be in a Cessna 172 and possess a working knowledge of FAA 14 CFR Part 61 and Part 141 regulations. Must be able to read speak and write English fluently and able to develop organize and teach Private and Commercial Pilot level training courses.
