Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation is a not for profit corporation that exists to provide medical services research and education. The foundation provides the infrastructure for the delivery of physician services and contracts with a separate corporation comprised of physicians and other care providers to deliver the clinical services. This multi-specialty foundation will provide a platform from which new physicians can be recruited to continue to provide physician services in a nonprofit community setting. The Foundations vision is to create a medical group that will deliver high quality market competitive medical services. JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Physician Clinical Supervisor for clinical duties and the Care Center Manager/Supervisor for non-clinical duties assists providers and other members of the health care team in clinic offices by performing a variety of back office patient-related tasks and ensuring smooth patient and work flow within the department.Qualifications Medical Assistant I job requirements: High School diploma or equivalent education / experience required Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program which a clinical externship or a program approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education California Department of Consumer Affairs required Current AHA CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers certificate Must receive certification as a Medical Assistant from an approved certifying organization as defined in Medical Assistant II within one (1) year of hire Medical Assistant II job requirements: High School diploma or equivalent education / experience required Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program which a clinical externship or a program approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education California Department of Consumer Affairs required Current AHA CPR/BLS for Healthcare Providers certificate Certified Medical Assistant via one of the following certifying agencies: California Certifying Board for medical Assistants (CCBMA) American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) Multiskilled Medical Certification Institute Inc (NCMA) and American Medical Certification Association (CMA) Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant/Specimen Handling-phlebotomy preferred Minimum of 2 years demonstrated medical assisting skills in ambulatory care preferred All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race color creed religion marital status sexual orientation registered domestic partner status sex gender gender identity or expression ancestry nationalorigin (including possession of a drivers license issued to individuals who did not present proof of authorized presence in the U.S.) age medical condition physical or mental disability military or protected veteran status political affiliationpregnancy or perceived pregnancy childbirth breastfeeding or related medical condition genetic information or any other characteristic made unlawful by local state or federal law ordinance or regulation.
