Description, duties, responsibilities

Preparing processing handling cargo import/export documentation. Data entry. Provide customer counter service for delivery and pickup. Prepare/distribute documentation to appropriate government agencies. Understand send and respond to inquiries on tracings/bookings. Job Responsibilities Capture cargo data and transfer it to the computer Process manifests (paperwork) for all freight Serve customers and collect charges appropriately Distribute paperwork to Customs/Sales Accounting Ensure documentation compliance to FAA and U.S. Customs standards Properly rate airway bill for charges Coordinate flight manifests Trace missing items; arrange forward transit Handling cash transactions Notifying shippers/carriers of problems All other duties assigned Qualifications and Competencies High School diploma or GED Proficient using office and processing equipment Strong oral and written communication skills Must be able to work a flexible schedule in a 24 hour operation Ability to work in inclement weather Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Swissport as an equal opportunity employer bases its hiring decisions on the business need and the best qualified candidates available and does not discriminate in its employment decisions on the basis of any protected category.
