Description, duties, responsibilities
Responsible for developing processes and changes that result in creating a quality conscious environment which shows a reduction of defects. Subject matter expert in the area of quality assurance. May lead and direct other team members toward achieving a quality focused environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: I. Works from blue prints interprets engineering requirements and Configuration verifications. II. Knowledgeable of specification Quality procedures and F/T requirements appropriate to the area of assignment. III. IQ Auditor. IV. Identifies parts and ensures acceptable appearance function tolerances dimensions and specifications. V. Completes and maintains a variety of inspection paperwork. VI. Assists Quality Engineers in more extensive Root Cause Corrective Action determinations. VII. Able to act in a coaching capacity with IQ qualified employees. VIII. Demonstrates extensive knowledge of special processes or aircraft flight operations as assigned. IX. Knowledgeable of FAA Regulations and associated regulatory requirements appropriate to assigned areas. X. Able to act as an audit escort during outside party audits. XI. Able to interpret and conform new model engineering change with feedback to Engineering. XII. Embedded MRB. XIII. Proficient in business applications as required for the area of work assigned. XIV. Knowledgeable of Post AW Repair Station and S/B procedures if assigned. XV. Communicates with the FAA or other external auditors. XVI. Proficient with Latent Defect Report and Manufacturing Defect Report (LDR/MDR) process XVII. Process skill level necessary to achieve ODA designation if required. XVIII. Ability to release aircraft for Flight if assigned to Flight Operations. XIX. Communicate to external customers if required. XX. Possess certification/qualifications appropriate to assigned area. XXI. Proficient in F/T validation for new models. EDUCATION: Requires high school education and the use of drawings specifications basic math and technical knowledge. A&P and/or Associate Degree preferred. Green Belt Certification preferred. EXPERIENCE: Requires over five years relevant experience. Possesses a solid grasp of the technical skills necessary to perform the job and be willing to work in all areas of support. Preferred work experience in 6 different areas of Quality support for a minimum of 6 months in each area.
