Composites Airframe Structures Engineer: Position Responsibilities: Acts as the technical focal point in airframe structures manufacturing and processes in cross-functional teams from program conceptualization to implementation. Acts as the leading consultant to internal and external stakeholders including design engineering manufacturing program management engineering labs support supplier vendor relationships etc. Serves as Bell s primary point of contact in related industry committees and associations. May be called upon to substitute in for executive leadership in industry committee related activities. Develops advanced concepts and standards with a high degree of creative solutions in composite airframe structures manufacturing and design. Specialized mentor to junior and senior engineers in advanced concepts of composite airframe structures manufacturing and design. Education and Position Requirements: Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or related technical discipline At least 15 years of experience in one or more of the following technical disciplines: Rotor Blade Construction/Materials/Engineering Properties Secondary Bonding of Composite Structure Composite Surface Preparation Bonding Dissimilar Materials Toughened Resin Systems Thermosets Thermoplastics Adhesive systems Cure Cycles Composite Machining Composite Grinding and Profiling Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing 15 years of experience in Aerospace Rotor Blade Manufacturing Design or related manufacturing industry Exposure to leading medium-large impact projects or product programs in a flight technology environment. Exposure to capital management project scheduling manpower forecasting and project or program budgeting. Preferred skills: Proficient in CAD/CAM and/or CATIA V5/V6 Textron Relocation Assistance policy is in effect / applies for this position for candidates who qualify
