Description, duties, responsibilities
Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking Entry-Level Aerospace Product Technicians to join our Operations team in Heath OH. The ideal candidate understands the importance of safety awareness and always works with first time quality in mind. Position Responsibilities: Assemble disassemble and/or modify systems by changing removing replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoot electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Document procedures and establish processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g. repairs test results applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements. This position could be for either 1st 2nd or 3rd shift. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Ability to work overtime if needed. Willingness to work with beryllium and/or other chemical elements. Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word Excel and PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with Retrofit Repairs Modifications and Maintenance. Experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions reading and interpreting blueprints drawings or specifications. Experience in the inspection of parts components assemblies or units. Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED). Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
