Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking motivated and talented Project Management Specialists to join our Commercial Modifications & Customer Integration team. This team is focused on bringing together flawless execution of the four modifications product lines (Avionics, Interiors, Connectivity, and Airframe, Performance & Systems (AP & S)), supply chain, engineering and in some cases MRO Execution that provide maximum lifecycle value and enable commercial airplane operators to meet the usage demands of its flight crews and passengers. In this role, the focus will be on delivering a market-leading total customer experience.  The team manages all Program relationships and interactions with customers (internal & external), in collaboration with Boeing Sales & Marketing teams (BCA & BGS) and Mods Product Line teams to drive growth and revenue performance to meet or exceed the business plan to truly delight our customers.

Position Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Prime point of contact for Boeing customer

  • Manage customer expectations and deliverables

  • Modification SOW, configuration and change management owner

  • Responsible for the comprehensive execution of schedule and cost performance, including estimate at complete

  • Risk, Issues and Opportunity management

  • Use written & communication skills to effectively develop product or services statement of work (SOW) that will satisfy airline customer requests

  • Work with the Airline Customer and the modifications Integrated Product Team (IPT) to develop SOW and ensure the overall proposal quality and accuracy relative to deliverables, capacity, costs and schedule prior to customer offer

  • Identify and manage future changes to statement of work and incorporate lessons learned for future offerings

  • Upon Customer acceptance of a product or service, this person will lead customer engagement, manage performance metrics to plan, identify and coordinate resources required, and coordinate with internal and external customers to drive performance

  • Close interaction with engineering, suppliers, airline customers, Q/A, operations, finance and airplane regulators

  • Support global customers across all major regions: Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific

This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Seattle, WA, Long Beach, CA, or Plano, TX.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience in a role requiring project / program management skills

  • 5+ years’ experience working in an environment with competing and changing priorities

  • 5+ years’ experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners

  • 3+ years’ experience developing & delivering presentations to senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is a PLUS

  • Experience working in a cross functional environment

  • Experience in contracts and proposals

Typical Education & Experience:

Subject Matter Expert (Level 4)

Bachelors degree and typically 10 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Senior (Level 5)

Bachelors degree and typically 15 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 13 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must reside within proximity to one of the listed Boeing locations or relocate at their own expense.
